Godfrey Chua brings with him over 15 years of experience as an analyst, strategist, business developer, and marketer. He has worked extensively with network vendors, service providers, financial institutions, government agencies and solution developers in the communications and IoT space.
Currently, Godfrey is Principal Analyst at Machina Research. He is based in the US and supports both North American and Asian operations. He is focused on the Industrial Internet and Consumer IoT.
Prior to joining Machina Research, Godfrey managed and helped launch the M2M and the Internet of Things program at Infonetics Research. Previous to his role there, Godfrey was a member of the Advanced Technologies team at Juniper Networks where he was a business development, marketing, and strategy specialist. He focused on mobile solutions, M2M, and next-generation mobile core technologies go-to-market efforts, including performing market analysis for M2M and next-gen mobile business models.
Other prior roles included lead global analyst for IDC’s wireless and mobile infrastructure program. He was also the founding analyst for Emerging Energy Research (acquired by IHS in 2010), and was one of the first industry analysts to cover the wind power industry. Godfrey also led the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (via its previous ownership of Pyramid Research) telecommunications research and operations in Asia. He began his career examining automotive supply chain strategies as a research associate for the Center for Regional Economic Issues at Case Western Reserve University.
Outside of his telecoms and technology industry endeavors, Godfrey was also a food writer for the Boston Event Guide magazine.
An industry thought leader, Godfrey has appeared on National Public Radio, CNN Asia, and the Business News Network, and is regularly quoted in the press, including The Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Bloomberg Businessweek, and Network World. He is also a frequent speaker and moderator at industry conferences and events. Godfrey is fluent in English and Tagalog.

Sang Yong Lee is Vice President in Creative Innovation Center, LG Electronics Inc. and leads Smart Car and Home Task which focuses on technology convergence including IoT and Smart Home. Before joining back to LG, he had been in DSP group, Texas Instruments for 14 years, taken various roles including Automotive marketing manager, Strategic technical marketing, Chief imaging technologist, and held Senior group member of technical staff title. He began his career in R&D center, LG Electronics Inc.
He holds BS and MS degree from Seoul National University and Ph.D degree from University of Southern California., all in Electrical Engineering.

Joaquín García-Baquero is the CEO and Co-founder of Net4Things, a startup specialized in Machine-to-Machine technology and the Internet of Things. The company develops cloud-based, energy, health and safety platforms for telecom operators and service providers.
With more than 15 years of experience, Joaquín is an expert in the development of new technologies.
Joaquín holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Córdoba and an MBA from EFEM. He has also completed the Global Strategy Program at Wharton Business School and the Advanced Management Program at ESADE Business School.
In 2000, Joaquín founded Palmanet Networking Services, an Internet service provider and IT developer for SMEs. In 2004, he founded Localizza, an Internet-based fleet management platform that combines GPS technology and data transmission over mobile networks, enabling the localization of vehicles and people online, for which he won the Young Cordobés Entrepreneur Award. After Localizza was acquired in 2008, Joaquín joined the Seguriber Group as their Technology Services Corporate Managing Director. In 2011, he co-founded and became the CEO of Net4Things, leading its operations in Spain and its expansion worldwide. Joaquín also sits on the corporation’s board of directors.

Dr. Kyung chul Shin has been the President of Yujin Robot Co., since 1990.
He has special interests on intelligent service robots with cloud competing network environment.
He worked for the Samsung Aerospace on the robot R&D group leader before he start the Yujin Robot Co., He was the president of the Korea Association of Robot for the years 2001~2008.
He received Ph. D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Bharat Vasan is the Chief Operating Officer for August. Bharat brings highly-relevant leadership to August from the consumer and connected devices space. As co-founder and COO of Basis, Bharat was instrumental in growing Basis from pre-product to post-revenue. In March 2014, having raised over $30 million from investors like the Mayfield Fund, DCM and Intel Capital, Basis was acquired by Intel.
Bharat began his career in investment banking at Credit Suisse and DLJ in New York. He holds graduate degree from Columbia University and counts Middlebury College as his undergraduate alma mater.
