Korea’s economy, once considered an emerging market, is now a key contributor to the global IT community, ranking 3rd in the world’s technological innovation with 40% of its total trade volume made up of IT p roducts and components. Adding to this success, the landmark free trade agreement “KOR-US FTA” has taken o„ff, expanding trade relations between Korea and the US and creating more opportunities for collaboration, particularly in the areas of IT.

KTech Silicon Valley 2012 was the first premier technology conference organized by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) of the Republic of Korea, in partnership with NIPA and KOTRA that will provide a platform for over 500 Korean and US IT experts and entrepreneurs to demonstrate its recent advancements in IT Convergence. By leveraging Korea’s competitive labor force, productivity and advanced IT infrastructure, Korean firms hope to form stronger partnerships throughout the value chain, domestically and abroad, to achieve capital efficiency, broaden distribution and accelerate innovation.
